No, that's not necessary. The Kaloud HMD completely replaces foil: you place the coals on the HMD and regulate the heat via the slider on the side.
A phunnel bowl has one large channel in the middle instead of multiple holes, which keeps molasses in the bowl and prevents it from entering the downstem of your hookah.
Glazed glass is non-porous, so flavors and odors don't penetrate it. This allows you to switch between different shisha flavors without any lingering tastes.
