The phunnel design ensures that the glycerin stays in the tobacco instead of draining away, so the flavor remains strong for a long time. With a regular ceramic bowl, the holes run through the bottom, causing moisture to drain and the tobacco to dry out faster. With this bowl, there is a central pipe with the opening placed higher, so the glycerin remains in the tobacco. That means less waste and a session that stays flavorful until the last puff.
Fill the bowl loosely just below the rim of the central pipe and do not press the tobacco, otherwise the airflow will stall. Place a sheet of aluminum foil tightly over it and poke small holes in it, or directly place a Kaloud Lotus without foil. This bowl fits on any hookah or shisha with a standard connection. For the best session, combine it with slowly glowing hookah coals.
