| Tobacco bowl | Phunnel |
The Panama Phunnel tobacco bowl in shiny green ceramic is built for smokers who are tired of bitter aftertastes and dirty vases. Thanks to the phunnel design, the molasses does not run out through the bottom, but stays in the bowl itself. The result is a full, stable flavor from the first to the last puff. The glossy green finish also makes this bowl an eye-catcher in any setup.
In a regular tobacco bowl, the holes are at the bottom, causing molasses to seep down to the stem and create a bitter smoke. With this bowl, the hole runs upwards through a central riser, so that the molasses stays in the bowl and the smoke remains clean. Fill the bowl loosely to just below the rim of that channel and do not press the tobacco, this way the airflow remains optimal.
After filling, place a tight aluminum foil over the bowl and poke regular holes in it, or use a Kaloud or other metal chimney for more stable heat distribution. Place 2 to 3 coals on the foil or in your HMD and give the bowl 3 to 5 minutes to come up to temperature before you start puffing. The connection at the bottom fits almost any modern hookah.
